Hallway: what these mockups are for
A hallway wall is seen from a metre away and at an angle, which makes this the collection that shows mat width, frame depth and paper texture better than any other. Corridors are also where sets are genuinely hung — a row of small pieces, or one tall vertical beside a door — so this is the place to photograph a series as a series.

Making it look photographed, not pasted on
There is rarely any furniture to measure against, so use the door: interior doors run about 200 cm tall and 80 cm wide in these photographs. The light usually comes from one end of the corridor, so set the shadow direction to match it instead of leaving the default.
